Twitter and Sports

“Improper” and “unprofessional” Twitter use has landed more than a few athletes in some pretty serious trouble. Suspension and public outcry have led many critics and fans to question whether there is any room for often-massive sports star egos on Twitter. Only time will tell whether professional and college organizations opt to ban athlete’s Twitter use during the game season, but in the meantime, athlete and Austin-native Andy Roddick proves with his perfect blend of professional and personal tweets that good Twitter conduct is a choice– and perhaps one that leagues should continue to permit…and perhaps, even, promote.
